A Message From Major Kane

Today was our last day in second and fourth grade at NS. We had a really good time getting to know you and we will miss being with you each week. The Chief and I promise to stop by now and then to say hello.

Big DARE graduation Wednesday the 26th, it should be a good night. The dress code for the eveing is your black DARE shirt and jeans. No need for shorts, the auditorium is air conditioned!

One new high school profile today, and one old one. The system freaked and wouldn't allow me to change one, so I am leaving it up rather than fighting technology. I promise two new ones next week.

The last Sixth Grade Fun Night of the year is this Friday. The event will run from 6 until 9, and as always, free movies, games in the gym, and the pool will be open. Here is your chance to mingle with the high school kids and make some new friends! We will have food available for purchase at this event.

The last social event of the year will be the annual DARE Sixth Grade Swim and Dance Party, and that will be on May 8th. More info on that as it gets closer. We are trying to pick a date to have a combined fourth and fifth grade swim. I will post the date for that when I pick it.

Up for a tough question, see if you can answer this one. What belongs to you but others use it more than you do?

If you know the answer, put it in the guestbook. The first SIX students who get this correct will get a pair of DARE Boxers (this is one of the most sought after DARE prizes.) Students in ANY GRADE can answer this question. Members of the DARE Student Advisory Board are not eligible to participate! Last weeks answer: President James Buchanan was from Pennsylvania, and his estate was Wheatland. Congratulations to Austin Raup, Lacey Deeter, Ashley Schultz, and Jeoy Serovich for getting it right.
